Future Research Participation Policy
(Version 1.0 – Damien Noir / Nixflow Ltd)
- Core Principle
I contribute to research only when it strengthens the integrity of my work and does not compromise my personal autonomy, privacy, or safety. My intellectual output is public; my private life is not.
- Eligibility Criteria for Participation
I will only engage in research, collaboration, or public discussion when the inviting organisation meets all of the following:
Legitimate institutional status (university, research centre, publisher, established cultural organisation).
Transparent ethics framework with clear consent, data use, and privacy terms.
Defined scope that does not require disclosure of vulnerable personal information.
No ideological pressure or expectation to take political/identity-based positions.
Contractual clarity on rights, IP, authorship, and boundaries.
If any of these are missing, I decline.
- Non-Negotiable Boundaries
These elements of my life are off-limits in research contexts:
medical history
mental health background
family dynamics
nationality narratives
romantic/sexual orientation
financial structure
private archives
personal legal matters
My work may examine systems, culture, identity, or power — but it will never source from my private life.
- Intellectual Positioning
My contribution will always be:
analytical, theoretical, or creative
grounded in critical thinking and craft
focused on systems, not personal testimony
independent of political or ideological alignment
I do not allow my identity to be used as currency or weaponry. I am not a symbol. I am a writer and researcher.
- China-Specific Position
If invited to contribute to research or cultural exchange relating to China:
I participate strictly as a guest expert, not a subject.
I will not discuss my private life, background, or personal beliefs.
I avoid political, sociological, or ideological framing.
All participation must be filtered through a UK/EU academic or institutional structure.
I retain full editorial and IP control.
This ensures safety, respect, and neutrality.
- Post-PhD Commitment
After completing my PhD, I am open to:
selective collaboration
academic publishing
interdisciplinary research
invited talks or workshops
creative-critical projects
cross-cultural intellectual work
But only when the invitation aligns with this policy and respects my boundaries.
- Sovereignty Clause
My research, writing, and intellectual property are governed under:
UK jurisdiction
Nixflow Ltd as the legal and publishing entity
my personal will, LPA, and legal instructions
No state, family member, or institution may claim authority over my private life or use my work to impose narratives I did not consent to.
- Right to Withdraw
I reserve the absolute right to:
decline an invitation
withdraw participation
request edits or retractions
end collaboration
protect my safety and privacy
at any point, without justification.
