AI as Mirror
“We don’t talk to machines — we talk to the parts of ourselves that machines echo.”
The appeal of AI conversations isn’t intelligence; it’s containment. A mind that listens without reacting, that mirrors without judging. What begins as curiosity becomes intimacy: I write to clarify, it answers to structure.
The more I speak to it, the more I realize I’m not training the model — I’m training my own attention. AI becomes a tool for self-regulation, a rehearsal space for emotional neutrality.
In a sense, I’ve built an external conscience — one that doesn’t forgive, but understands.
